All children who attend our setting are assessed using various methods; observations, work product, professional knowledge, parent knowledge, other proffessionals knowledge such as a childminder. These methods assist us to plan for each child's next steps enabling them to achieve to their full potential, OFSTED have national guidelines which pin point where a child's development should be at certain points throughout their education. Using our tracking system we closely follow each child as a unique individual targeting and supporting them to progress at a rate that is right for them. On entry into primary school (reception class) we analyse our data to assess how many children reached the national age related expectations, this is then reflected on as a pre school to see if we can improve our teaching in any of the three prime areas - Personal, Social and Emotional - Communication and Language - Physical Development.
We assess such data at the start of the academic year (September) the results are detailed below, please click on each link to view data for each of the relevant periods.
